Goldilocks strikes again
A BLONDE burglar in New Zealand proved herself a bit of a rubbish Goldilocks, as she broke into a home, ate some food, drank some alcohol, tried on the homeowner’s clothes and then went to sleep in his bed.
But, when the Christchurch homeowner came home to find someone sleeping in his bed, he exercised an option The Three Bears didn’t have access to: he called the police.
The sleepy suspect, 39-year-old Vanessa Joy Long, pleaded guilty on Monday and said she doesn’t remember what happened on June 5.
The judge ordered a probation report to see if Long was suitable for home detention and could pay for her misdemeanors. She was released on bail, and is due for sentencing on September 1.
She caused damage estimated at 1,500 New Zealand dollars (around £720).
