Dicksons’ expansion plans on a roll
A North East butchers has unveiled an ambitious £1m expansion programme which will see the completion of a major extension to its production facility and the creation of 20 new jobs.
The new retail site forms part of Dicksons’ plans which will see the completion of a 6,000 sq ft extension to its South Shields based production facilities and a 20% expansion of its retail portfolio by the end of 2011.
It brings the company store tally to 20 as it continues its aggressive retail and wholesale expansion plans across the region.
Kevin Lee, chief operating officer at Dicksons said: “We recognise that buying habits are changing and the market for quality, locally-produced food, , ready prepared food is more buoyant than ever.
“This is why we are continuing to diversify our retail portfolio, opening new sites across the region and our new shops like Felling are being designed so that we can present our brand values and the quality of our locally produced products to our customers more effectively.”
