£3.5 million arcade to be unveiled this week
Work has been completed on the second phase of a £3.5m Morpeth arcade which will create 50 new jobs.
The second phase of the Sanderson Arcade development was completed earlier in the spring – and the new businesses will be officially opened on Wednesday April 20th.
Work was completed by local contractors Mansell.
Dransfield Properties have revealed that the final unit in this phase of works is to be occupied by an independent bar and restaurant which will open later in the summer .
Other new developments at the centre are set to announced at this week’s launch.
Mark Dransfield, Managing Director of Dransfield Properties, Ltd said: “The opening of our new stores in the piazza area marks the completion of the main building work at Sanderson Arcade so this is a really momentous day for the centre.
“We first cut the soil on the site in July 2008 and to see the centre now completed and busy and our second phase fully let is testament to Morpeth as a great shopping destination.”
Retailers to already take up space in the Arcade’s piazza area include maternity and baby wear specialist JoJo Maman Bebe, Monsoon and Mountain Warehouse
