NHS launch ‘Infographic’ to keep patients informed.
NHS North East is launching a new service to allow patients to make easy and informed choices about their healthcare.
The new ‘infographic’ will outline key performance data to help patients understand how every NHS hospital trust in the region is performing on key aspects of care such as A &E waiting times, referral to treatment times and treatment times for urgent cancer referrals.
The publication of this information comes into line with government priorities to give people more choices and control about their healthcare.
Richard Barker, director of commissioning development at NHS North East said:
“The NHS in the North East performs very well and all NHS staff should be rightly very proud of our long standing reputation for quality of care and high levels of public satisfaction.”
“Under the NHS constitution the NHS belongs to us all and we all have a right to clear information that can help us make choices about our care.”
