Institute of Directors gives Durham business a boost
Businesses in County Durham are to be given a new voice, thanks to a committee established by the Institute of Directors.
The Durham Committee was launched at the DurhamGate Project, a 60 acre regeneration project south of Durham which has been developed in partnership between Carillion Developments and Arlington Real Estate.
It is now hoped that the committee will help to establish a presence for Country Durham, and large numbers of IoD members have already expressed an interest in getting involved.
Mr Robb said: “This new committee will allow business people to come together and discuss the real needs of the area, without the issues being diluted by the strong Tees Valley and Tyne and Wear markets.
“This will give County Durham a strong voice within the IoD and the wider business community, opening up networking and business development opportunities, as well as promoting the area.”
