Monday Motivation – Great North Run Overcoming Resistance
The Great North Run of 13.1 miles is a great example of what it is like to have to sell for a living. By that I mean that in sales you will get resistance, resistance against you selling something, resistance against prospects agreeing to see you and sometimes resistance from you.
In the half marathon you get resistance coming from your body and your mind. You start with enthusiasm but with a slight trepidation (yesterday it was rain!)but never the less you begin. Everything seems to be okay and then you start to feel the first bit of resistance, it could be from your knee or the sight of an upcoming hill, it could be anything.
