Sunderland footwear business drive sales
Sunderland-based footwear company brasher has increased sales 30% year-on-year as it reports strong demand for its products.
The supplier of hiking boots say effective sourcing and stock control, along with media marketing, has contributed to their success.
David Kennedy, brasher finance director, comments: “There is great momentum behind brasher at the moment. For 2013 we have put together a really strong package for the UK market.
“The range is strong, with the Hillwalker and Supalite Active helping to attract new consumers to brasher, while long established products continue to perform very well in store.
“As always, we find that when we use a strong marketing campaign to remind walkers about the Hillmaster, they respond really positively, reinforcing its position as Britain’s best loved walking boot.
“With a good ongoing position on stock availability for immediate orders, brasher has been making great strides so far in 2013 and we are hopeful that we can sustain that for the rest of the year.”
