Lytham care development site sold to Surrey-based healthcare investor
A 1.2-acre care development site in Lytham St Annes, Lancashire, has been sold to property investment and management firm Octopus Healthcare.
The site was sold for an undisclosed sum by the Manchester Specialist Markets team of real estate firm CBRE, on behalf of Preston-based Worthington Properties. Subject to planning permission, Octopus Healthcare intends to use the site to create a care home, along with parking facilities and landscaped areas, for up to 64 residents.
The facility will form part of a wider mixed-use development comprising a Joseph Holt pub and restaurant, a Booths supermarket, a 132-home scheme from Morris Homes and a 30-unit scheme being delivered by Hollinwood Homes.
The scheme is located 1.5 miles from the centre of Lytham St Annes and 4.5 miles to the south of Blackpool.
CBRE’s Manchester-based senior director of specialist markets, Shaun Skidmore, said: “We are delighted to represent Worthington Properties to complete the sale of this care home development site to Octopus Healthcare.
“The addition of the care facility will further enhance the mix of uses at this important regeneration scheme.”
Surrey-based Octopus Healthcare currently manages £1bn in healthcare funds across various platforms.
