Northallerton first time buyers using Help to Buy
New statistics from housebuilder, Barratt Homes, have revealed that Help to Buy is proving extremely popular with Northallerton buyers. 85% of first time buyers purchasing a new home at Barratt’s five star development, Mowbray Park, have taken advantage of the Government scheme.
With Northallerton suffering a housing shortage, the Mowbray Park development is making it easier for first time buyers to make that all-important first step onto the property ladder, with over half of the properties at the development purchased by local buyers so far.
Debbie Foster, Sales Manager at Barratt Homes, commented: “It’s fantastic to see so many local buyers in Northallerton being able to make their first step onto the property ladder at Mowbray Park. The Help to Buy scheme has been popular since its launch, and it’s great to see the scheme making it possible for local first time buyers to purchase a home to call their own.”
Homes available to purchase include the Dewsbury, a three bedroom home with kitchen diner and French doors opening out onto a spacious garden, which would make the perfect starter home for a first time buyer.
Debbie continued: “We know that Northallerton has often suffered from a shortage of suitable homes for first time buyers, but our new Mowbray Park development is making it easier for them to purchase a property that is right for them. Our three bedroom homes are the perfect option for buyers looking to make that first step onto the property ladder.”
Prices at the development start from £184,995 for a three-bedroom home. For more information about Barratt Homes and Mowbray Park, go to www.barratthomes.co.uk
