Profits hit £7.3m at Cripps law firm in ‘best ever year’
South-east law firm Cripps have enjoyed what it dubs its ‘best year ever’ after posting its financials for the year ending 30 April.
The legal firm, which has offices in Covent Garden as well as Tunbridge Wells, Kings Hill and Sandwich, saw net profit rise to £7.3m last year, higher than figures for the same period last year and also a record for the firm since it was established in 2005.
Fee income was also up 9% at £28.1m, with the firm already boasting deals this year involving Kent-based Optevia’s acquisition by IBM UK.
Cripps, which is one of the largest employers in the town of Tunbridge Wells, has 47 partners across its four offices and a total headcount of 350 staff.
Gavin Tyler, Managing Partner at the firm, believes the heartening figures are a testament to Cripps’s ‘modern and progressive approach’ and is looking forward to continued growth at the firm.
He commented: “To be able to announce these record results is a great achievement, particularly as we had set ourselves some fairly ambitious targets.
“Investing in our people and putting our clients at the heart of everything we do, is obviously having a positive impact on our overall financial results.”
