Cube3 Takes on Triple Challenge
One of Manchester’s most ambitious creative, digital and marketing agencies has set its staff a tough new challenge to raise money for local charity, The Booth Centre.
Cube3’s digital and creative specialists have been asked to turn off their Macs and put on their hiking boots in order to tackle the Three Peaks Challenge.
A team of 13 will attempt to climb the three highest mountains in Britain in 24 hours on September 9 in a bid to raise £2,000 for The Booth Centre, which offers advice, activities and support to homeless people in Manchester.
More accustomed to building business than reaching summits, the team started training for the event in July by going on walks across the Peak District and Lake District in a bid to get ‘mountain ready’.
Clair Morris, digital marketing director, said: “We like a challenge at Cube3, so when someone had the bright idea to climb the three highest mountains in Britain in under 24 hours, it all made perfect sense.
“Plus, it’s for a great cause. There has been an estimated 50 per cent increase in people sleeping rough in the city, and charities such as The Booth Centre rely on donations in order to provide their crucial services.
“We’re hoping to raise £2000 and any contributions would be gratefully received.”
