Random Acts of Kindness continue throughout 2017
After such a successful year of Random Acts of Kindness, the Alhambra Shopping Centre in Barnsley will be continuing with their generous campaign for 2017.
Over the past 12 months, the local shopping centre has been rewarding people of Barnsley with small acts of kindness, including paying for shopper’s parking, free strawberries and cream to celebrate Wimbledon, gift card giveaways during Fashion Week and paying for people’s shopping over the Christmas period which came to a whopping £1000!
During the random acts the centre had overwhelming feedback from customers including Barnsley resident, Darryl Hand who said: “I have just been stopped in Barnsley’s Alhambra by a security officer who handed me a free car parking ticket. There is some good in the world after all. It’s the little things!”
As we go into the new year, the random acts will continue with even more giveaways throughout the centre. The first surprise will take place in the Alhambra on Saturday 28th January to help beat those post-Christmas blues!
Steph Higham, Alhambra Marketing Manager said: “It wasn’t a tough decision to continue our Random Acts of Kindness into 2017 after such a positive response throughout 2016. We have had a very successful year with some great new retailers joining us and maintaining our footfall in 2016, so it is important for us to treat our customers and give the people of Barnsley something back for their loyalty to us. I am excited to get started this year with some really great acts already planned. “
