Deadline approaching for People’s Choice Award
The deadline for this year’s People Choice Award at the Liverpool City Region Tourism Awards is fast approaching with less than one week left to nominate your favourite tourism business or individual. Every year, the People’s Choice celebrates the businesses and unsung heroes achieving excellence in the city region’s visitor economy. And with entries set to close at midnight on Thursday 27 April, it is the final chance to reward those that have made a difference to the region’s tourism sector in the last twelve months. The People’s Choice Award, sponsored by British Music Experience, is the only prize decided by members of the public meaning it is a true barometer of excellent tourism in the city. Previous winners of the People’s Choice Award include the Southport Air Show and the Cavern Club. The winner of the People’s Choice Award, along with winners of 16 other tourism categories, will be announced at a glamourous black-tie event at St George’s Hall on Thursday 18 May. Cathryn O’Grady, at event organisers Eventful, said: “The People’s Choice Award is a truly unique opportunity for the general public to say thanks to those that make Liverpool’s visitor economy so special. Tourism plays a crucial role for the region and supports thousands of jobs every year. “There are so many fantastic businesses that go above and beyond to excel in the sector and this award goes some way to recognising them for their dedication and hard work.“ To nominate a business, please visit: www.lcrtourismawards.com and click on People’s Choice. There are a limited number of tables and sponsorship opportunities available for the event. Don’t miss the chance to celebrate and network with key businesses and individuals in the tourism industry. To book, please visit the award’s website or call the event hotline on 0844 809 4399.
