Keyland submit proposals for trio of residential developments in South Yorkshire
Planning permission has been submitted for a trio of new residential developments in South Yorkshire.
Keyland Developments Ltd, the property trading arm of Kelda Group and sister-company to Yorkshire Water, submitted plans to transform a disused Yorkshire Water Reservoir site in Warmsworth, Doncaster into a residential development of 23 semi-detached and detached homes.
The proposed dwellings are two storeys in height. The 1.5 acre site is located to the north of Warmsworth Hall, approximately 4.5km to the south-west of Doncaster town centre and within the Metropolitan Borough of Doncaster.
The former reservoir structure and pumping station has already been demolished and the site has been levelled to enable future development.
A separate application has been submitted for the development of nine homes on a 1.5 acre open site adjacent to a Yorkshire Water reservoir in Kimberworth, Rotherham.
In conjunction with the 1970’s development to the west of the site, Fellowship Way, the proposal aims to continue these residential properties to meet the reservoir to the east. This forms a natural extension to the existing development and combines well to form a suburb with good links to the existing public transport network and infrastructure.
The third application seeks to transform an existing agricultural building at Brooks Bank Farm in Stocksbridge into a single home. The property comprises a traditional farmstead with detached farmhouse, two detached stone barns and a steel portal framed building with grassland and woodland extending in total to approximately 108 acres.
The proposed conversion would result in the creation of a three-bedroom home, and includes courtyard parking plus private garden area.
Brooks Bank Farm is in an elevated position and located on the south eastern edge of the village of Midhopestones, to the south of the Underbank Reservoir.
