Walkden Business Hub nearly full after latest round of SME openings
Walkden Business Hub, a new commercial office and retail space for Salford SMEs, is nearly fully let following its launch just eight months ago.
Two units now remain of the original 10, which range from 369 sq ft to 1,500 sq ft.
The space, created by developer The Derwent Group, is let to local businesses ranging from retailers to professional services firms, including The Party Company, Joyo Audio, Walkden Tax Office, Accessories for the Home and Core Alloys UK.
The Derwent Group is expecting to announce further new tenants at the Hub in the coming weeks.
The firm’s senior property manager, Peter Gilliland, said: “The latest round of business openings, following the rebrand and redevelopment of Walkden Business Hub, represents a significant milestone in the growth and development of this important scheme.
“We have been very pleased with the high level of interest we’ve received from the local business community, representing a strong demand for a centrally located, secure space for businesses in Walkden.”
He continued: “Through our investment in Walkden Business Hub, we have sought to create an enticing and diversified offering in Walkden Town Centre, bringing together a mix of high quality brands and occupiers to form one major retail and leisure destination for Walkden.
“We anticipate strong growth in the long-term and this latest investment is a sign of our confidence in the town’s future prospects.”
Space at Walkden Business Hub, located eight miles northwest of central Manchester, is accompanied by meeting rooms, more than 2,000 parking spaces and high-speed WiFi.
Miller Metcalfe is the appointed estate agent for the Hub.
