Carter Jonas has submitted plans for its 54 acre industrial site in Suffolk
London-headquartered property consultancy, Carter Jonas, has submitted plans for phase two of its 52 acre Stowmarket Business and Enterprise Park, dubbed Stowmarket EAST.
Plans for the development, which have been submitted on behalf of Building Partnerships Ltd and the landowners, could see a further 32 acres added to the industrial and commercial site which will provide for properties ranging from 10,000 to 200,000 sq ft.
Office accommodation, storage and distribution facilities form a key part of the planning application, with formal plans for 530,000 sq ft of facilities submitted as part of the application along with associated infrastructure works, a family pub and drive-through restaurants.
Sitting just off Junction 50 of the A41, the new site could become a well placed business and distribution hub in the south east, sitting just 25 miles from the Port of Felixstowe and 45 miles from Cambridge.
Will Mooney, Partner, Carter Jonas said that there was ‘pent up demand’ for business space in and around Stowmarket with the development of new business facilities and amenities well overdue.
He commented: “ Stowmarket EAST will deliver new high-quality space at a scale to meet the needs of businesses looking to base their business in the region.
“Interest has already been strong with several pre-let enquiries from local, regional and national business across a variety of sectors.
“Enabling employment land to be released will in turn unlock additional economic growth with the construction phase of the development estimated to deliver over 200 jobs alone.”
Carter Jonas has also been appointed as the letting and sales agent for Stowmarket EAST.
