Sunny skies for growing Sunderland holiday price comparison business
A Sunderland-based holiday comparison company is set for expansion thanks to support from MAKE it Sunderland.
Husband and wife team Phil and Julie Randle have moved their Florida-focused online business Ticket Rangers into new premises in Doxford International Business Park as part of its continuing growth.
Following a trip to Florida where the couple struggled to find tickets for attractions, Phil and Julie decided to set up comparison site Ticket Rangers in July 2018 to help other families find the best deals available in the ‘Sunshine State’.
MAKE it Sunderland is the City Council’s business and investment campaign, designed to support local startups to find premises and expand operations.
Through the scheme Ticket Rangers looks set for further expansion following its move to the business park’s Regus premises, building an increasing following on social media and averaging over 2,500 visits a month to the main website.
Councillor Graeme Miller, leader of Sunderland City Council, said: “Sunderland’s growing tech sector continues to go from strength-to-strength and Ticketrangers.com is a fine example of this.
“It’s a company which has carved out a real niche and has the ability to become a real disruptor in the holiday technology market, delivering a service that will add value to many people nationally and internationally.”
