Brazen PR unveil a "bold stunt" to support Silentnight product launch
Last week, weary London commuters could doze as they dash by accessing the world’s first mattress vending machine. Coined the ‘Dream Machine’ and located in the capital’s King’s Cross station, the vending machine dispensed boxed mattresses to winning visitors at the press of a button.
The machine was created by Silentnight and Brazen PR, to support the launch of the new Just Sleep collection of rolled and boxed mattresses and show that getting the perfect night’s sleep has never been easier, after a study conducted by the brand revealed 32 per cent of Brits are sleeping on one which is ‘well past its best.’
Jason Mcilvenny, senior brand and customer insights manager at Silentnight, said: “Brits know a good mattress plays a key part in getting a good night’s sleep. Despite this, our study suggests they might not be prioritising this as much as they perhaps could – with millions putting up with tired mattresses.
“So we launched the ‘Dream Machine’ to remind time-strapped commuters of the importance of a good mattress for getting a good night’s sleep and how easy and convenient it can be – whilst giving them the chance to pick-up a comfy new mattress for free in an instant.”
Sasha Makel, MD at Brazen PR, added: “We were tasked to come up with a bold stunt that highlighted the ease and convenience of the new Just Sleep range and what could be more convenient than a vending machine on your commute!”
