Dexters names new chief executive
London estate agency Dexters has appointed Ash Kashyap as its new chief executive, succeeding Andy Shepherd, who will retire in 2026.
Ash, who joined Dexters as chief financial officer in 2014 and became deputy chief executive in 2024, helped drive major acquisitions including Marsh & Parsons and LiFE Residential.
The announcement comes as Dexters reports a 23 per cent rise in revenue to £222 million and a 17 per cent increase in operating profit to £47.2 million.
Ash said: “It has been a great pleasure to work with Andy Shepherd over the years and I am excited to succeed him as chief executive.
“I am proud to take on the responsibility and I am ambitious about the future.
“Our company has a strong and well-established senior management team and amazing colleagues across the business.
“Everyone at Dexters has a deeply embedded growth gene, a set of values focused on customer service, quality standards and delivery that guide our actions, but most of all we have a desire to always be even better.
“I look forward to tapping into that desire and building on the strong foundation as we embark on the next phase of our growth journey.”
Justin King CBE, chairman of Dexters, added: “I am delighted to confirm Ash Kashyap’s appointment as the new chief executive of Dexters.
“He has the perfect combination of strategic and financial acumen, a clear vision for the future opportunities for the estate agency, supported by the strength and depth of his highly experienced leadership team.
“Initially guided by Dexters founder Jeff Doble, and benefitting from over a decade of working side-by-side with Andy Shepherd, this carefully planned and executed change means Ash will hit his stride fast and the firm’s ambitious plans will accelerate.
“I would also like to thank Andy Shepherd for his incredible leadership.
“For over 30 years his passion, vision, energy and unwavering belief in Dexters has been exceptional.
“He passes the baton to Ash at an exciting time for the company.”
