Heritage brewers unite for wider reach

A Yorkshire-based brewery is set to broaden its UK reach through a new partnership.

Independent family brewers T&R Theakston and Swinkels UK have joined forces in a nationwide on-trade sales collaboration, combining more than 500 years of brewing heritage. 

Launching on November 3, Masham-based Theakston will represent Swinkels’ portfolio in pubs, bars and national accounts, bringing together two complementary ranges of beers.

Theakston’s cask and keg favourites, including Old Peculier and Theakston Best Bitter, will sit alongside Swinkels’ diverse portfolio. 

This includes Belgian Fruit Beer Fruitage by Rodenbach, global pilsner Bavaria, La Trappe Trappist beers and cult NEIPA Juicy Lucy from Uiltje Brewing.

Bosses say the partnership is built on shared values of family, independence, craftsmanship and sustainable brewing, with the aim to expand brand access, enhance customer service and provide UK operators with a wider selection of world-class beers.
