Lomond has expanded with a deal for Clyde Property Group

Lettings agency network expands with takeover

A sales and lettings agency network has expanded with a takeover.

Lomond has bought Clyde Property Group.

Bosses say the agreement for the Scottish operator – which includes Burgh Property and Cathedral Estates – marks a “significant milestone” in Lomond’s growth strategy north of the border.

Under the terms of the deal, Clyde Property will oversee operations in the West of Scotland, with Lomond’s sister brand DJ Alexander managing the remainder of its portfolio.

Founded in 1987, Clyde Property Group’s branch network includes sites in Glasgow, Edinburgh, Falkirk, Perth and Stirling.

David Alexander, Lomond chief revenue officer, said: “Clyde’s passion for pioneering service and building knowledgeable local teams perfectly aligns with our core values.

“This partnership offers an exciting opportunity to expand our presence across Scotland.”

Gary Thomson, Clyde co-founder and managing director, added: “When considering a partner for the next stage of Clyde’s journey, alignment in values was paramount, and Lomond was the standout choice.

“This partnership will enable us to thrive.”

The deal comes after Lomond earlier this year completed a move for Prospect, which it says has boosted its presence across Thames Valley.
