Design Associates Sub Contract Basis
Project: Designing Demand
The North East Business and Innovation Centre has been awarded a contract to deliver the Designing Demand programme in the North East. This is a new national programme helping businesses realise the potential of design to drive competitiveness and improve performance. We are now looking to recruit a number of experienced designers and design managers as Design Associates who will contribute to the delivery of the Designing Demand Programme in the North East.
A Design Associate is a qualified designer who will typically have worked as a Design Manager and have led creative teams. They will have:
- Formal business management training and experience of delivering business and design advice or consultancy
- Strong design management skills
- Must be able to establish and explain the business benefits of identified design opportunities and provide effective support to the company through the implementation of projects
- Must be able to gain a company’s commitment to continuing investment in design as a result of completing the programme
- Experience of user centered design research, product and service design, brand and communications as well as experience of taking new technologies to market, this, along with the soft advisory and interpersonal skills are the desirable attributes of the people we a looking for
