NE firm develops for Digest
The publisher of the world’s best-selling monthly magazine has chosen a North East-based firm to provide its UK corporate intranet.
Reader’s Digest is a brand that is widely-recognised across the world; published in 35 languages across more than 70 countries, the company’s main publication is the best-selling monthly magazine in the world with a global circulation that includes more than one hundred million readers.
In addition to its print operations, Reader’s Digest uses several websites to inform and entertain its worldwide readership. Managing their internal communications is a challenge, and Gateshead’s Orchid Software has been chosen to provide the software for their UK-based intranet.
Reader’s Digest UK contacted Orchid Software in July 2008 to discuss how the firm’s Orchidnet software could redefine their internal communications and business processes.
Currently undergoing a phased launch process in the first months of 2009, the Reader’s Digest intranet is designed to manage the organisation’s internal business processes whilst further enhancing staff communication.
Ajay Sood, Managing Director of Orchid Software, said: “Working with a global household name represents a genuine seal of approval for the software that we take great pride in creating. Developing and maintaining effective internal communications is an important part of running a successful modern business, and we are delighted that Reader’s Digest has chosen Orchidnet to fulfil this role for their UK-based operations.”
