Creative firms go face-to-face at ?speed dating? event
A group of North East creative companies is being brought together to meet with freelancers and smaller agencies with the aim of encouraging collaboration.
The a:design association is holding a face-to-face event on Thursday 23rd July to help creative organisations and freelancers break into the big agencies.
Companies taking part include the likes of Different, Infinite Design or Twenty First Century Media.
In a speed-dating format attendees will be given three minutes to talk to each of the creative big-hitters in the room.
Sam Morton of Twenty First Century Media, an a:design board member and one of the face-to-face panellists, said: “It’s speed dating for your business. Like dating though this is more about how you get on as people rather than boring credentials – so we’re asking photographers, illustrators, printers, freelancers or any professionals looking to work with the North East creative industry to feel free to bring along any of their work they’re really proud of, or just something that interests them to talk to people about it.
“In the current climate, collaboration and support of our fellow creative colleagues is key to everyone’s success. Plus agencies can get locked in to working with just a few suppliers and events like this can open their eyes to new talent, innovative ideas and future partners.”
Places for this event are limited and allocated on a first come first served basis.
The event starts at 5.30pm on Thursday 23 July at Tiger Tiger Restaurant, The Gate, Newcastle.
