Businesses get their teeth into catering show
Food and drink businesses in the North East are set to savour the benefits of a new international trade catering show which is heading to Sunderland.
The first ever North East Catering and Fast Food Fair is set to take place in Sunderland on 21 and 22 October.
Organised by CooperWhite Exhibitions, the trade event at Rainton Meadows Arena, is being supported by Sunderland City Council.
Councillor Paul Watson, leader of Sunderland City Council, said: “This is the first time that Sunderland has hosted a catering show and the event is expected to attract hundreds of customers in the food and drink trades from across the North East.
“It’s a fantastic marketing opportunity for local businesses in the food and drinks supply chain and will create a platform for them to exhibit their products and services to potential customers.”
Around 60 companies are expected to exhibit at the North East Catering and Fast Food Fair. The event is set to attract customers from a wide variety of catering businesses, from small sandwiches shops, convenience stores and mobile caterers, to restaurants, pubs and hotels.
Charles Cooper from organisers CooperWhite said: “We have already had a lot of interest in the exhibition space and have exhibitors coming from as far as Italy. The North East Catering and Fast Food Fair is certain to be a success and we will be looking to make this a regular fixture in our show calendar.”
