Gardiner wins Metro deal
MARKETING agency Gardiner Richardson has won a contract to promote the Metro transport system to the region’s travellers.
DB Regio Tyne and Wear, which operates the Metro, is looking to raise the profile of Metro and increase the number of journeys taken on Metro each year.
Gardiner Richardson has worked closely with fellow Newcastle firm Mike Lynch Advertising on planning the 12-month media for the campaign, which will be promoted on and around the Metro system.
Gardiner Richardson director, Darren Richardson, said; “Metro is one of the North East’s best loved and most recognisable brands and we’ve enjoyed the creative challenge of presenting it to a whole new audience, as well as repositioning it in the minds of existing customers.
“We are delighted to be continuing our longstanding relationship with Metro, and in particular working with the new operating team at DBTW. We are really pleased that we have been able to develop a bold, simple, yet eye catching and exciting campaign which will hopefully become iconic to the Metro brand.”
