Monday Movers: Latest North East appointments
TECHNICAL and management services provider AECOM has appointed Piotr Lisiewicz to its Newcastle office.
He is currently working on Academy projects and speaking about his arrival in the North East, Lisiewicz, said: “AECOM is a great place to gain professional experience as there are many opportunities to work on advanced level projects.
“I am pleased to be working in the north east within an open-minded, goal-orientated team, in a positive and innovative environment.”
The company has also provided Bristol University student Alex Strachan, with a three month industry placement. Strachan, from Gosforth, has just completed his first year at university studying mechanical engineering.
Meanwhile, qualification provider NCFE has appointed one of the North East’s leading marketing specialists as its new director of business development.
Julie Armstrong has 20 years’ experience in marketing and sales across both the public and private sectors and arrives at NCFE, based on St James’ Boulevard, from a role as marketing director at a market-leader in the further education, training and skills sector.
Newcastle University has appointed Kay Jones to the newly created position of head of hospitality and commercial services to oversee the strategic development of commercial activities for the institution’s accommodation and hospitality services. She joins from the position of director of marketing and development at the University’s Business School, prior to which she was Commercial Manager at Newcastle racecourse and conference centre.
