Car parts supplier drives job creation
MANUFACTURING giant ThyssenKrupp Tallent has revealed plans to create 70 new jobs at its County Durham plant.
The German-owned multinational is looking to recruit machine operators, forklift truck drivers and welders over the next two months at its Newton Aycliffe factory, which makes chassis products for the automotive industry.
Ahead of the recruitment drive the group has renewed its longstanding relationship with TEMP-TEAM as the recruitment company looks to unearth the region’s top talent on behalf of ThyssenKrupp.
To date TEMP-TEAM has helped recruit workers to the Aycliffe site that supplies car parts to some of the world’s biggest motoring brands including Ford, Volvo, Honda, Nissan, Land Rover and Jaguar.
The new posts are full time across a three-shift pattern comprising 7am to 3pm, 3pm to 11pm and 11pm to 7am and offer competitive rates of pay with premium rate overtime available.
Emma Crocher, senior recruitment manager at TEMP-TEAM, said: “As a local business we are pleased to be able to help in getting local people back into work. We pride ourselves on being big enough to cope but small enough to care.”
Temp Team’s managing director Julie Cummings added: “ThyssenKrupp is looking for motivated, hard-working individuals preferably with a manufacturing background, although full training will be provided.”
TEMP-TEAM specialise in recruiting for businesses in the North East and Yorkshire in a number of key sectors including manufacturing, warehousing and distribution, local government, commercial and technology-based industries.
The company has seven offices across Tyneside, Durham, Teesside and Yorkshire.
