New company Bradford Bulls Capital Limited registers on Companies House
Days after it was confirmed that former Super League champions Bradford Bulls have been liquidated, a new company called Bradford Bulls Capital Limited has been registered on Companies House.
This comes just four days before the Monday 9th January deadline, set by the Rugby Football League (RFL), for parties to express interest in starting a new club in Bradford.
According to Companies House, the sole director of the newly registered company is New Zealand-born David Thorne.
Mr Thorne isn’t new to the sport as he previously held a chief executive position at professional rugby union team, London Wasps.
Although there has been no official confirmation about a company forming a new club in Bradford, RFL has stated that any new club will start in the Kingstone Press Championship with a 12-point deduction.
Bradford Bulls, which was also a three-time world club champion, entered into administration three times in the last four years. Administrators appointed to the club recently rejected a takeover bid and no rescue deal could be struck.
The Bulls ceased trading on Tuesday, January 3rd.
