D&D London bringing Finnish eatery to burgeoning Nova Food development

Restaurant group D&D London are gearing up for the launch of their new Finnish cafe and restaurant at Nova Food in Victoria.

The huge restaurant, encompassing 10,000 sq ft across two floors, is to open on Wednesday 1 Feburary with a kitchen overseen by Executive Chef, Helena Puolakka, who has previously joined up with D&D for their Skylon restaurant in Lambeth.

Serving up Nordic influenced cuisine that draws on Puolakka’s Finnish heritage, the restaurant’s menu will also be complemented by classic French dishes and techniques refined over the chef’s career.

Featuring a 161 cover cafe and deli on the ground floor and a 122 cover restaurant and bar upstairs, the space itself has been designed by London interior design firm Russell Sage Studios, with features referencing its close proximity to Victoria Station.

The new venue will also feature a 16 cover private dining room and glass-walled wine room that seats up to eight guests.

Aster’s opening marks another addition to the dining line-up at Nova Food, which is part of Land Securities massive Nova development, which includes offices, shops, restaurants and bars.

It will be joined by the likes of The Social Company’s Hai Cenato and Australian eatery Timmy Green, which are also opening at the glitzy development.
