Deal hat-trick sees retailers commit to Kirkby shopping hub
Regeneration firm St. Modwen, the business behind the multi-million pound makeover of Kirkby Town Centre, has secured tenancy renewal deals with three local companies.
Long-term tenant The Kirkby Family Dental Care signed a new five-year deal for its 884 sq ft premises at 80 St. Chad’s Parade, building on 17 years of dentistry in the town.
Planet Sports, the independent sports goods store, also recommitted to the town by resigning for its 1,263 sq ft space at 3 St. Chad’s Parade on a three-year lease.
The third retailer to renew its tenancy is discount store Cash Generator, which will occupy its 1,151 sq ft unit at 16 St. Chad’s Parade for a further 15 years.
St. Modwen property manager Andrew Day said: “Since we acquired Kirkby Town Centre in 2015, our priority has been to ensure tenants’ confidence in St. Modwen and the improvements we are making to the town centre.
“We are striving to provide tenants with the best possible office and retail space and these three renewals are testament to the work we are carrying out in the town centre.”
He continued: “We are thrilled that The Kirkby Dental Care, Planet Sports and Cash Generator have renewed their leases and we look forward to welcoming new tenants in the future.”
