Busiest month on record for online retailer
A SOUTH TYNESIDE based online retailer expects its turnover to rise to £8.4m by the end of 2011, following the launch of its own range of pet food products.
Mark Berriman, Managing Director of PET SUPERMARKET.CO.UK took inspiration from Newcastle United legend Jackie Milburn when choosing the name for the lucrative new products.
Milburns pet food, which aims to offer pet owners a high quality product with an affordable price tag, has been so well received since its introduction to the market place it has sold out on four occasions.
Milburns has comfortably made its way into the top ten selling products available for purchase on the website and sold four tonnes in its first month of sales.
Mark Berriman is confident that Milburns popularity will continue to grow.
He said: “I am delighted with how Milburns has been received by PET SUPERMARKET.CO.UK customers, and sales have surpassed all expectations which reflect the demands for a pet food product like Milburns which won’t compromise on quality.
“This is the first time we have developed our own brand range, and we intend on offering pet owners an ever expanding range with a promise that our prices will stay frozen.”
PET SUPERMARKET.CO.UK’s current turnover stands at £7m, with expectations for it to rise to £8.4 million in 2011.
